No length/post limit for legend, it defeats the purpose I just suggested.
Might as well just say 8000 posts and minimum of two years for mod Zebra posts and a minimum of potato years for admin Tree posts and a minimum of yellow years for sideways bungalow

True, but then wouldn't Legend end up being what Elite is now?
If we don't have a small amount of say, then what's to stop someone like .Punxx (the best example, even though I liked him a lot of people didn't) becoming Elite and unsettling the great Elite community.
I think the 1000 post/ 3 month minimum rule is the one to go with.

I disagree, Kyonko. Wouldn't that just take the Legend group to the same place Elites were in before we set out to change them? It's quite a contrast to compare a mod and a legend, as one is staff and thus has far more responsibility, and is a staple part of almost every forum, and the other is a nice little excess we have to reward loyal members. I just think that a legend should be seen as a step up from the elite group, and thus complies to the same rules, only at a higher level. That way there'll be more legends for sure, because as it is a default practise it means that there will be more legends, which was a part of the issue with that group, wasn't it?

No, if it was the same, it would be legends voting in people, that's how the system currently works with elites and such, what I am saying is it should be based on activity and contribution.
If Bob gets 5000 posts and has been around for 2 years but hasn't really done much aside from post, he shouldn't be higher than elite, legend should be for those who go the extra mile. Not all current elites are going to become legends, not all of them have taken part in major forum events.
The other thing I would say is limiting the staff who can see it to, so only the staff who would meet the elite requirments of 1000 posts could see the legend section and those who score well on the staff report cards constantly, this means the staff have to work to see the legend section too (this does mean Timmooo wouldn't be able to see it till he hit 1000 posts)

No, you'll always see the elite section, you'd just need 1000 posts to see the legend section.
